Inglese - English

Here is a simple shrewdness to create a link that directly stings to a determined point of a youtube video, for instance, when we want to signal a particular section of a tape without the person to whom we communicate it must look the entire video. All this in few and simple footsteps and in two different way favors that you use a direct link or a code of embbedding.

First Code - Embedded Code

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/aN-tXt8oXgY&amp;hl=it_IT&amp;fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/aN-tXt8oXgY&amp;hl=it_IT&amp;fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

The code above is the typical code that youtube gives us to use in our pages html, to use our tutorial it will be enough to add after " fs=1 " the following code:

&start=SECONDS

To the place of SECONDS you must insert a number (seconds) that it correspond to the starting point of our video. The video in this example lasts 5:19 but I want to make it begin after two minutes (2:00), therefore I will insert as code &start=120

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/aN-tXt8oXgY&amp;hl=it_IT&amp;fs=1&start=120"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/aN-tXt8oXgY&amp;hl=it_IT&amp;fs=1&start=120" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

After some code the video in action

Second Code - Direct Link

For the Direct Link thinks became much easier:

Es.: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aN-tXt8oXgY

You must add only this code:

#t=XmXs

To the place of the red "X"s you must put the minute (m) and then the seconds (s) from which the video must begin:
In the case you want to put a video that starts from 2minutes and 8seconds you will must use this code:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aN-tXt8oXgY#t=2m00s

To test the code make a click on this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aN-tXt8oXgY#t=2m00s

Easy!?
I hope that this tutorial was useful for You.
